Our History

Waterberg Women Advocacy Organization (WWAO)is a women led Organisation, it was formed in 2012 and launched in 2016 with more than 500 members around Limpopo. It is a registered NPO that doesn't affiliate with any political party. WWAO advocates about Climate justice, Gender justice, Land rights, Human rights and also Gender Based violence.

Vision and Objectives

Our objective is to win hearts and minds of the community and build power for transformative change, building capacity for the well informed future generation because Education is the key. We cannot opt to just transition without a community that is well informed and prepared for change as a bottom approach.

Francina Nkosi

My name is Francina Nkosi and I'm really passionate about Women's rights and defender activism because Women's rights are humans rights . I've been working with women since 2008 until today.

I regard myself as the voice of the voiceless who advocate for Change. I've been advocating about Climate justice ,Gender justice, Land rights and Human and also Gender Based Violence. They all link to impacts of mining on women.
